I have not seen anyone post anything about this. But I think everyone should really appreciate what the DFB did in Brazil. The fact they did something unheard of and built a complex in Santo Andre, but what they exactly did with it. This is an article linking what exactly they did, i didnt read all of it as I have been following ze Germans and their processes throughout this tournament with the locals of this place. Again, I have not read this article, it was long and I am in a hurry, but I wanted to bring up a discussion. We all know FIFA is corrupt and BRAZIL's communities were pretty outraged for hosting the world cup becaus they needed funds for other important necessities to help a country improve. What if more teams, who have the economy to do so did this type of charity work.
Here is a tl;dr version of the article: They built the complex and hired only locals. They socialized with locals, had a festival w/ local, donated a town ambulance by giving 10,000 euros each, they included themselves in the native teams anthems and wore their jerseys, they apologized to the locals for the thrashing of Brazil 7-1, they left everything they built to the local town and will help transform the facilities into schools. They also brought with them 23 tons of supplies that will stay in Brazil like mountain bikes

As a football fan, this is the stuff that I truly can appreciate. This makes me feel they deserved it so much more than the other teams.
