except the fact that he's slow as fuck and failed the pk horribly....im not a fan of vlaar...but he played ok

Get the fuck out and NEVER enter this forum again. Vlaar might be slow, but his defensive positioning and tackling were great. Vlaar was one of the best defenders of the tourney, it's not his fault 2 other guys didn't want to take the first penalty. And you call yourself a fan, jesus.

never said it wasn't... I just don't think much of anything can negate a lack of speed and pace in soccer/football

That vlaar missed the penalty.. well.. hes a defender and he took his responbility to take the first one.

exact what markestein also said.

de vrij makes a mistake by cahills goal, and never took a penal at all.

well, both vlaar and de vrij played good,.also blind and n de jong
