I've only ever heard it used in english like once or twice; in spanish it's a very common expression though.

That's actually pretty interesting.
It's a word that was often used when I was a child/teenager but nowadays it has almost completely disappeared.
To be a crack means - like already has been explained - to be very good at a certain thing such as sports/IT stuff etc.
Haven't heard the word for at least five years. Quite the little mindfuck that I just had. My parents used to use the word quite often

Craque in brazil refers to guys that are like super good in football. Its usually not a term used for other things but can be, but its often just for football.
