The first and most important mistake was putting vlaar as first penalty taker... why the hell ? holland had 3 or 4 good penalty takers in the side who should of been well before vlaar..

Second mistake was subbing RVP for huntelaar early in ET... he should of either waited til the end and brought on krul or waited til the end and subbed a defensive player who cant shoot for huntelaar to upgrade his penalty kick taker list
Even if RVP was tired it seemed as if EVERYONE was tired in ET and was just running the clock to penalties


Cillessen was absolutely woeful at saving those penalties although i do think the pressure of not being the GK for the costa rica shootout was getting to him, his record of penalties is below:

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE - Faced 3, Saved 0

LvG said that 2 of his players didnt want to take the pens, he took a gamble with Hunteelar to finish things off but it didnt work out.

haha, he got subbed out in 93min or so right? RvP would die if he had to play those extra 27mins.

Holland was simply bad, Robben the only clear one, Sneijder failed massivlyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.

and argentina were good ? messi was invisible as usual in the big games and mascherano (a defensive player) was their only stand out player

and those 27mins were the slowest played 27mins of football in history - he could of made pens

Scolari mistakes

2 players refused to take pens, and RvP was not in the match AT ALL

Playing De Jong was a mistake also, he wasnt 100% and a waste of a sub and I agree with subbing RVP off early.
Sneijder had a horrible game he looked tired/lazy if anything he should have been taken of for Huntelaar

Sneijder was crap in all games, except that goal he was pretty much a -1 spot in team.

he shouldnt have played since groupstage, he failed always.
