so FIFA's plan (or basically decision at this point) is to hold the 2030 world cup on three continents: south america (uruguay, argentina, paraguay), europe (spain and portugal), and africa (morocco).

how do you feel about that?

personally, i think it's a terrible idea - not just in terms of sustainability, but also in terms of preparation, organisation, and fairness.

it's not even that, given how bloated the tournament has become, it matters much that six hosts would automatically be qualified, since five of those would likely have qualified anyway, with only paraguay getting a "free" entry - the thing that bothers me the most is that it's such an obvious play to rotate back to asia as fast as possible, to give the saudis the ability to buy the 2034 world cup. to make it even easier for those murderous despots, FIFA has set a very tight deadline for other potential hosts (primarily australia) to challenge the saudi bid.

absolutely disgusting by FIFA's insanely corrupt leadership once again, who would have thought that it could get even worse after blatter?

the way i understand it (so far) is that the three SA nations only get an opening game to celebrate the 100 year world cup anniversary

so its just three games in south america, really unnecessary, but i wouldnt call it "hosting"

unfortunately exactly what happened. that corrupt clown infantino couldn't be happier of course, i'm sure that yielded him another couple of millions. what an absolute embarrassment for the sport again. i wish some of the larger and well respected associations (looking at the likes of germany, england, france, italy, spain, netherlands...) would finally take a proper stance and boycott that shit, but of course that's never going to happen...

Writing was on the wall when the Qatar World Cup went ahead with absolutely no one giving a fuck and fighting it.

The reaction should have been the same from fans as it was against the shite super league idea, mass protests and boycotts.

Now the people in charge know they can get away with it with little resistance. Can't even blame the aussies, why spend millions on submitting a bid when you know the Saudis have already bought the result.

Far past time to take football back from these cunts, but seeing our FA's reaction to letting English clubs be sold to the scummiest the world has to offer, I wouldn't expect any help from us.
