Cillessen to Barça for 13+2M€ confirmed.

Seems like an awful move imo, they sell their best keeper and they replace him with someone who not only is significantly worse than Bravo, but also worse than Ter Stegen,.. :D

Good for the Dutch national team. Now he no longer plays with Ajax, and probably only plays cup matches we finally don't have to worry Cillessen will be #1 without any good reason.

Not official... I believe it will happen though. Valencia has been adamant about not selling him so far, but Alcácer has apparently asked to leave and it wouldn't surprise me if Valencia awful owners let him go for peanuts so that Mendes can bring in another random for 40M€.

He has been a mediocre striker throughout all of his career, but last season he was amazing. He worked hard, dominated, created a lot of chances and, most importantly, scored a lot of goals. Scoring 17 for a team like Derpotivo (they are absolutely shit in attack otherwise) is huge.

However the question is if he really did have his breakthrough last season and he's stepping up to be come a great striker, or he was just in amazing form and he's going to drop back to his underwhelming previous level.

I really can't say. He did score last weekend in Deportivo's first game, so it might be a good sign, but it's just one game...

If he does play like last season then he'd be a good signing. Probably worse than Giroud overall, but a much better finisher.

Also, he shoots a lot. He often doesn't think twice about it and goes for it, showing confidence in his shot... this works great in Deportivo where everyone else in attack is garbage, but idk how it would work out at Arsenal. I wonder if he'll adapt to shoot less and play with his partners more, or he will stick to trying to finish chances asap. In any case, he can pass, and he's by no means a tap-in master kind of finisher... he's pretty complete, but enjoys shooting :P
