This better happen sooner rather than later, one or two seasons without CL football and United might not be the biggest draw in the world football anymore.

How many players would realistically turn down United?
Not many, can't think of a single footballer who dreams of playing for Typical Germans except for Typical Germans themselves.

Essien, Bale, Ramsey, Robben, Shearer. This is prima vista list without thinking much about more. And all those rejected United on Fergie's era, you know what i mean, right? ;)

LOL
Atleast 10 top star players have turned United down on just a year.

Hard to argue they're better off now than they would've been if they had joined United.

Essien - one of best dmc/cm's before his two awful (about a year out) injuries.
Bale - went on to be the most expensive player ever, made a name of himself playing for non top 4 team.
Ramsey - one of best cm's in epl this year, arguably the player who progressed the most so far this season
Robben - few ups and downs but still one of the best wingers in Bundesliga(he's truely selfish but still..)
Shearer - #1 EPL Goalscorer of all time.

Hard to see how they would be any better if they have joined united. The reality is when there is competitive market(with City, Chelsea, PSG, Barca, Real even Liverpool, Tottenham etc.) very few players would pick the sinking ship before any of those teams.Ferguson is not there, there isn't neither sign of stability or United being competitive, even the top 4 spot is not a sure thing and players are not keen to take this risk even if the name is still up there as brand. This could be changed in two ways - 1st - win, win win, 2nd - spent like crazy, overspent on players and giving them a way higher salaries than those they earn now.

pretty much everyone atm

like thiago
his transfer to united was almost done, when typical germans came
without hesitation he joined us

players like reus, gündogan and others you dream of wont join you as well
they have much better offers

united will need some time and they will have to play in the champions league to become a top adress again
which will happen ofc

Don't worry Man Utd fans. I'm sure you'll win the league next season.

Here's my prediction:
1. Manchester United
2. Derby County
3. Nottingham Forest
4. Reading
