Hmm, I'd have to rewatch some situations but overall I felt we did well in the midfield. I think if Sanchez was on form today we would have won this

as i said, it wasnt bad and good to watch, but that didnt make it good

also let me point out how the midfield lacks cover quite often
dont see whats so difficult to have always one player centrally slightly behind the ball
wasnt there a picture from the swansea game a few pages back where there is an area crowded with 7 arsenal players not getting behind the ball?
bayern passes a lot in small areas as well, but we still cover the pitch

you would have won this with a quick goal from wilshere ^^

i've never held back my opinion of wenger, been criticising him for a couple of years now but today's tactical blunder award has to go to van gaal imo:
i couldn't believe how exposed united's wings were. three at the back, ok - but then you have to instruct your wingers to defend properly or show the defence how to shift to one side with a central midfielder covering either in central defence or on the opposite wing. cringeworthy really. they would have gotten exposed so hard by any real top imo...

thats true, united was pretty bad
the center halfs stayed in position instead of going out wide

also proves my point btw, because arsenal could not take advantage of that
there was always some area crowded with players and united did the same

teams lik***ern with strong attacking on the wings would have raped united big time, but thats another story

indeed, but somehow you miss my point ;)

what i say is about the fact that there isnt anyone at all there ^^
would be enough to just tell a player to stay there for starters, no matter how bad or good he is
thats the main problem

Flamini and Arteta are supposed to be there, the pic vs Swansea was taken out of context since it was just from a corner iirc.

I watched this at my uni flat with Arsenal flatmates...one of them raged hard and threw the remote at the wall and smashed it hah. I think Wenger has instilled in the players a fear of Man Utd, when was the last time Arsenal beat them? must be 2-3 years now.

Well there's a fairly logical reason for that ^^

I'm amazed that Wenger's been able to stay at Arsenal for 18 years. SAF was with United for 26 years but in return he brought in 13 EPL titles, 2 UCL, and (8?) FA cups etc.. Wenger can't exactly compete :(

Wenger took a boring small Arsenal and created a big club with amazing football, winning the league unbeaten and upgrading from Highbury to the Emirates, and all that while following the FFP rules.

Wenger is one of the most succesful coaches in the world, there is no way around that
