now to be fair, they bought Kompany way back when for like £6 million and he's been quality for a long time even with the injuries - single-handedly was the force driving their 2 Premier wins, imo (yeah i know the aguerrooooo goal but Kompany mostly fit and was the key difference in the big games both years)

Well, they are good signings though imo... these were the positions that most needed to be strengthened. Mendy has been pretty good whenever I've seen him.

i'm sure they well - they bought Tielemans for ~£20MM from Anderlecht for example, probably sell him on in 1-2 seasons for double-triple that. They also got some top Barca La Maisa talent for peanuts (Jordi Mboula - winger, 18 year old) - watch him go for like 40MM+ in a couple seasons. wouldn't be surprised to see them land someone like Dembele from Celtic as well then sell him to Arsenal or Spurs in 3 years for double what they paid.
Monaco seem to becoming the 'Dortmund' of the French League (albeit with much better weather and wages
) by being a destination for young players to play a lot, winning a title here and there, and then be sold after a few seasons - difference is Dortmund sadly seem content selling for 30-35MM per player to Buyern no matter what =(
Hell they bought Mendy last summer for £11mm, sold him today for 4.5x the amount
