Sarri almost didn't give a team talk for the penalties he was headed for the locker room, fuming...that's the only thing that makes me question their story. Chelsea higher ups must've had a PR team waiting for them immediately after the game.

ofc he won't be fired. the official story will stand, he might pay a negligible fee internally, make a token apology to the team and manager (also internally, and if publicly then for the 'misunderstanding', not for openly defying sarri), and other than that he will be fine.

that's not the point though, people aren't predicting he WILL be fired, they are saying he SHOULD be - based on a sense of justice, not based on economic considerations...
