couldn't be more obvious that sarri is finished at chelski. no authority anymore.

that being said, kepa should never play another match in professional football again. how disrespectful can you be to your manager, your club, your teammates...?
even if he saved all 5 penalties in the shootout (instead of letting one slip right through his fingers), i would let him rot on the bench / 2nd team from now on. really disgraceful behaviour.

not that a sheikh club would care about it, but it would bother me to someone like that sitting on a nice contract (he surely has one) for nothing

should be shipped out as soon as possible

Feel sorry for Sarri, he's a good manager but he's just out of his depth. He can't let a player do that, EVER.

I understand kepa tbh, it's a final and he wants to be a hero.

Then again, not the wisest thing to do.

True, also the sub would’ve not been because of his performance and I think he would know best if he’s fine healthwise or not.

Yet again, „not the wisest thing to do.“

doesnt matter
even if he has no problems at all and the coach only wants that sub to bring in a penalty killer.....you leave the pitch, end of story

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri says that extraordinary stand-off with keeper Kepa Arrizabalaga was a "misunderstanding".

Sarri also says the Spaniard will not be disciplined by the club.

"I misunderstood the problem and only realised the situation when the doctor arrived at the bench.

"It was a big misunderstanding because I understood the keeper had cramp and was unable to go to the penalties. But it was not cramp and could go to the penalties."

On why he walked off towards the tunnel: "I needed to return to be quiet. He [Kepa] understood that I asked for a change for his physical problem and he said I haven't a physical problem. And he was right.

"I realised after when the doctor arrived. I have talked to him [Kepa] but only to clarify because now I have understand the situation."

Of course none buying it because everyone enjoys the drama when it’s not about their club :)

more like caballero is a penalty specialist so its quite likely he wasn't being taken off just because of the injury. Also, would Sarri have been that mad if it was just because of that? Not likely imo

it was both
kepa clearly had a problem and sarri had a fit penalty killer on the bench

i dont buy this story one bit, absolutely pathetic attempt

David Luiz on what he was saying to Kepa: “I told him to respect the decision of the coach.”

and we have also seen how rüdiger had to hold sarri back before the penalty shootout
complete bs excuse
