Mallorca will be playing away against Recreativo tomorrow. Recreativo is leading the table in Segunda, with a 5 point lead over the 2nd placed (Murcia). So this is obviously going to be a very hard game for Mallorca, because they'll be facing a team that is in great form. We have been progressing over the last few weeks, but we're going to need to perform better if we want to get a good result.
That being said, it's quite surprising to see Recre up there after 10 games. The team is expected to finish in the lower end of the top half of the table... just reaching the promotion playoffs would mean the season has been great for them. So I don't think they'll manage to hold this first position up until the end of the season, but right now they are in great form and very difficult to play against.
Unfortunately, Mallorca has 4-5 players unavailable for tomorrow's game, so it's going to be extra hard for us. 3 players from the B team have been called. Hopefully we will get to see Marco Asensio play with the first squad for the first time. He's 17 and our biggest prospect; he has been performing really, really well with the B team so there's quite some hype around him atm... would be interesting to see what he can do when playing with the big boys.
Recreativo 3 - 1 Mallorca
It was a close game but Recre played better overall; they are indeed in great form. Ref made a big mistake by disallowing a goal for us in the last 10-15 minutes which would have been the 2-2 (Recre's last goal came with a counter attack in the 93rd minute), so the defeat is a bit frustrating. Marco Asensio played the last 10 minutes, and he did really well. The team pushed a lot more with him on the field and he gave an insane assist which our striker Víctor blew (as usual

). This has been the positive surprise of the day... hope he gets more play time in the following weeks because if he can consistently play at this level then he will become a great addition to the team.
