How fucking stupid do they have to be to insert the loyalty clause in there while the transfer window is still open

La Liga isn't blocking the transfer to protect Barça. At this point Barça wants Neymar out.

La Liga is doing it to protect all of the clubs in La Liga. They claim that PSG can't possibly pay the transfer without breaching FFP, or using a dishonest way around it, so they consider the transfer to be illegal and that PSG are playing by their own set of rules, in a position of advantage compared to the rest of the clubs in Europe (including, of course, La Liga clubs).

La Liga can't block the transfer forever though. There are ways to pay a release clause without the need of La Liga's authorization (with a different form of payment, not sure of the legal details), and that's what PSG and Neymar are working on right now. Should all be over soon.

What's it matter to them if psg is punished? They won't lose the money. If Neymar wants to leave, he's gonna be the one fucked over. Barca literally has nothing to lose. It sounds like they are just being giant crybabies because they put in a low (lol) buyout clause. Barca has some random players that have buyouts for 200mil. If they really didn't want to lose him, they would have done what they did with Messi

Apparently it's finally been completed. Barca terminated the contract, accepted the check themselves instead of la liga (why did it go there to begin with?) and he will be signing tomorrow

Honestly, can't blame him for any part of it. He's gonna be the superstar on the team instead of living in Messi's shadow for another 5 years and make more than anyone else. He's already won everything there is to win, why not?

Because it's actually surprisingly possibly to win it more than once...? He won't win it with PSG.
