I haven't had much time to play so far :/

I finally started a game with Hajduk Split, with the goal of making them CL champions some day.

Anyway, I think I have a good chance of making it to the EL ko stages and I might win the league in my first year; this would be great. Hajduk zivi vjecno!

I can understand that, it really isn't for everyone.

Finished my first season with United, won the league with 100 points and both cups.

Beaten City, Chelsea and Liverpool both home and away and went on a 10 games run without conceding.

Transfer budget in the second season is massive, spent just over £100m already and still can afford twice as much as that.

FA cup final -

Still got some work to do with the tactic, can't achieve high enough possession / pass accuracy without compromising on creating chances and scoring goals.

Over 700 passes, 89% pass accuracy, but only 57% possession.

Oh wait, this is your first time playing... well then, yes you probably should. This game requires quite a lot of patience in order to get into because you only begin to truly enjoy it once you understand and get a proper grasp at the games mechanics.

Your first file is never too much fun, but you should learn a lot from it and that will allow you to enjoy the game in future files. I think it's best to start with a top team at first (not necessarily Madrid/Bayernd/City/etc, you can go with Dortmund/Arsenal/Liverpool/etc)... when I first started playing back in FM06 I chose Liverpool and it all went fine.

I think you should do that, you should start to enjoy it after a few seasons... and if you don't, well then maybe the game isn't for you. It's a complex game, with lots of mechanics and you spend a lot of time just looking at the game, not everyone can get into that. But don't give up yet, because if you end up enjoying it then the long learning phase will have been totally worth it.

This.

I started with Bayern, used the recommended formation and I kinda knew how they played irl. Although copying irl tactics and setups is usually not a good idea imo.

Then after a few season I got bored of playing such a huge club and started another save with sunday league rep and unemployed, campaign mode ftw. Funnily enough I ended up managing at Dortmund in the 2nd save :P

The thing I love most about the game is the endless room to improve. You can always find a better deal, better tactic and most of all better regens (regenerated players). Like this beast I found in FM14: http://cloud-4.steampowered.com/ugc/547511746941089592/A13A43EDE82C286C034B9F4B6700AD6436AFA515/ should be Erling Beckham imo. Poached him for 825k. Note that his wages and value reflect the league and not the player.

Anyone else find it more difficult to get players fit during preseason prior to season vs previous versions?
