Funny how you faggot starts posting here after the match is over.
Liverpool played well and Suarez is insane

Cant wait for Carroll + Suarez + Meireles + Gerrard

Haters gonna hate.

They'll eventually just go back to bandwagonning their teams and continue to contribute absolutely nothing to these forums.

But that lineup is going to be great.

Can't wait for Carroll to recover!

That can`t be true at all. If i`m correct on this one think lpool is the most succesful english club (in terms of international competitions won).
In terms of the squad alone, they gotta open their pockets to cover up even more if they wanna succesfully compete with man utd and the likes of billionaire teams out there.
If that was to happen, everybody wins : the fans cuz better # in EPL, and other teams supporters, as i`d most likely want to see spectacle instead of awful displays like Chelsea-Lpool from last week.
Hopefully it will happen.

Post Game:

Dalglish on Raul, Wigan and Luis

Kenny Dalglish admitted Liverpool lacked their usual 'edge' after their winning streak came to an end following a 1-1 draw with Wigan on Saturday afternoon.

Raul Meireles's stunning 23rd minute volley had seemed to have put the Reds on course for a fifth straight victory until Steve Gohouri stole in to snare a share of the points midway through the second half.

The hosts did have chances to win it late on but could not find the finish to close the gap on the teams above.

"I think it was a game we started well enough," he told his post-match press conference.

"We pushed forward and scored a good goal with Raul again. Luis (Suarez) hit the post, but you could tell a lot of them had played Wednesday night.

"There was just that little bit of an edge missing. If the edge had been there, the final pass would have been better. I think there were three or four occasions in the first half we would have been in, but the sharpness was just missing a bit, which is understandable.

"Obviously we are disappointed not to take the three points and with a wee bit of luck maybe we would have, despite the performance not being as good as it has been in the past.

"I think Wigan may have been a bit aggrieved if they had gone away without a point but Luis hit the post twice and their goal was offside - these things happen.

"We just have to brush ourselves down and get on with it. It's not been too damaging. We'll keep going.

"The international fixtures took their toll, with Daniel Agger unfit and Raul spewing up at half-time. He had to come off just after that and of course, Steven (Gerrard) wasn't playing.

"We had some players out but the most important ones are those that are on the pitch."

Dalglish gave a full debut to Luis Suarez for the clash with the Latics and he was more than pleased by the overall performance of the Uruguayan, who was unlucky not to mark the day with another goal.

"It's not difficult to warm to him is it? He's very energetic and skilful," said Dalglish.

"He loves to score goals and was unlucky not to get on the scoresheet today. In normal circumstances maybe we would have taken him off because he's not had a game for a wee while. It probably pushed him that bit too far. We were just hoping he might get us a goal."

The Reds went into the game without Agger and Gerrard while Meireles was withdrawn early in the second half.

Dalglish explained: "Agger has an Adductor problem. He should be alright, he's not too bad.

"Both he and Steven will be days rather than weeks. Obviously we've got the Europa League on Thursday -whether they are fit for that, we'll just have to wait and see. We've not got a game after that until the following Thursday so we'll see how they are and go from there."

Asked what the cause of Meireles's illness could have been, Dalglish joked: "Well it's not the cooking at Melwood.

"It's just a bug. There's a bit of a virus floating about and he's been unfortunate to catch hold of it. It was just sickness. During the first half he didn't feel too clever. He spewed up at half-time. He tried to play on but I don't think it was fair to ask him to."

Meireles's volley took his tally to five goals in six matches and the boss was quick to salute the No.4's recent contribution.

He added: "He's been excellent. Obviously his goals are a real bonus for us at the moment.

"Whether it was playing for Portugal and he over-exerted himself or if it is a virus - he was certainly sick at half-time. He scored a great goal in the first half and is a goalscoring threat for us."

they just spent over 50 mil bro :)

it isn't about how much you spend, it's how you spend it. Arsenal don't spend that much, yet they're one of the top teams in the world.
