but finally a win again

Well deserved after tough fixtures there are 3 good fixtures now (including this one) so a 9/9 is possible, I'll be happy with 6 out of 9.

Mallorca will be playing home against RM Castilla (Madrid's B team). They are last in the league with only 3 points (they lost their first 7 games, then they won one, and then they lost again last week against the leader, Recreativo). With many important players having been sold or sent out on loan this summer (or promoted to Madrid's first squad like Morata, Jesé, Casemiro or Nacho), the team is really struggling this season. Playing home agaisnt the last placed team... Mallorca should really win this. However, since we have a long record of resurrecting dead teams, we can't count our chickens before they hatch.

Mallorca 2 - 0 Castilla

Pretty solid win, so I'm happy. Both teams had their chances in the first half (although we scored and they didn't), but the second half was under Mallorca's control.

I have mixed feelings after 10 games. We started off the season terribly, and we are in fact still the team that has conceded the most goals in Segunda (although over half of them were conceded in the first 3 matches, before the manager swapped the keeper), but there are definetely signs of improvement. Now we are 7th, 1 point away from the play off spots (3rd-6th place), 2 points away from the 2nd place and 5 away from the leader, Recreativo, whom we will face next week away in what should be a very difficult game for us and a serious test to see if we have really stepped up now or these last 6 points have just been a mirage because we faced the 2 last placed teams. Hopefully we will keep progressing.
