I'm not having any of these excuses.

City beat us 2-1 at the Etihad last season where Kompany should have been sent off in the 1st half for a clear red and they ended up winning the title by a point. Football is small margins.

Stones cost £50m, Walker £50m Bravo £17m, Mendy and Otamendi were on the bench today and cost £52m and £28m respectively. There is absolutely no excuse to not have a decent backline with just Laporte and Ederson out.

Salah was onside for his goal.

City scored their goal when the game was done. They had chances and played a decent game but they had 3 shots on target in the end and the most you could argue they 'deserved' was a draw.

The league isn't over either. The christmas period is brutal and all it takes is losing 3 games we should be winning to lose the league.

You guys 100% deserved it.

Mendy wasn’t on the bench. Otamendi is the biggest liability.

It’s just frustrating to watch to be on the opposite end of that handball scenario.

would you believe me now?

with this win, there's no one else left to challenge you.
the 3 london crubs are nowhere near.
lester may spring a surprise or two but surprises dont work all the time.
dont even wanna talk about us
you have a 9pt lead over your strongest challenger.
your winning games when playing badly
even var decisions cant stop you
if you really do manage to bottle this,

IMO people consistently overlook the fact we have a thin squad.

Outside of Salah, Mane and Firmino, who can play up front? Origi, who is a decent player but not amazing, and Shaqiri who has been injured for months.

Who can play full back to replace TAA/Robertson? Gomez, a CB, and Milner, a CM. Just imagine if VVD got injured...

City clawed back our 7 point lead at Christmas last year by going on an insane winning streak. It might not happen again, especially with their current defensive injuries, but you would be foolish to write off arguably the best team in the world.

the team that goes relatively injury-free almost always wins out no matter what. Yes Scousers may be thin at points but Citeh are thin in the exact same positions and already have injuries there my friend!

in 2011-2012 United had the worst injury record (Vidic out from October til the start of the next season) and Citeh the least - Citeh won on GD

Klopps teams don’t seem to have much injury problems despite their playstyle. He must have superior conditioning coaches. Even Götze didn’t get hurt under him (until he sat out the UCL final under direct instructions from Buyern) lmfao

Good point on Klopp. When he came in we had loads of hamstring injuries from his training methods but then the players got used to it and we haven't had many since.

Fabinho is the xfactor. Man was a monster the entire game in the midfield

I loved most of Jose’s time at United but him stupidly getting Matic when Fabinho was basically saying “come get me” is infuriating

I remember a few particular posters in this forum saying the opposite when lfc purchased him. Him and firmino. Not you though. 🤣
