needs to work harder. think hes a top finisher though, but i guess only reason hes left out because he dont work as hard.

Well there must be a reason wenger doesnt play him over Sanogo and probably now Wellbeck.
Because he is a top class striker put on the left wing, we did the same with eduardo aswell sometimes, it barely works.
Thierry Henry was a Striker who favoured the left but also had godly speed and Power/ not Podolski's strengths. his strengths are positioning, finishing and shooting with power from anywhere.

but poldi really changed for the better when he went to arsenal

Afaik he was an amazing workhorse at Köln, not sure about his bayern days

not really, once he got the reputation he became rather lazy and of course that wasnt enough to make it at bayern
