I really hope Sané can succeed at City.
I wouldn't bet on it happening though.
He's a gifted winger and all, but in my eyes he just isn't 100% the player Pep loves on the wing... Sané needs more space than Costa, Messi, Ribery etc. to successfully beat a defender 1vs1. His sprinting/dribbling speed probably bests most of them except for Messi, but those others make up for that in acceleration and somewhat decisive first movements and feints... in general I'd say he is a much better counter-attacking winger than he is when his team tries to control the ball/game.
He can learn those things of course, but his shortcomings won't help him much when it comes to earning a spot in the starting squad in League games. Worst case is that after a few games City fans will see another Sterling in him...
Idk fam, city fans haven't really turned on sterling, it's everyone else in England that has. He gets booed at every stadium and every tabloid publishes bullshit about his personal life that isn't true. The telegraph had a counter on every article letting you know how much money sterling made while you read the article, which is just absolutely ridiculous and a joke and I've never seen anything like it for any player in the world.
