The opposite really. Conte copied Mazzarri of Napoli and Guidolin of Usinese.
Conte came to Juve favouring an offensive 4-2-4 (4-4-2). He eventually changed to a 4-3-3 for Juve recognizing that all 3 of Vidal, Pirlo and Marchisio should be playing and come January, when Barzagli was signed opted for the 3-5-2.
We're finally done with the formation with Bonucci leaving (silver lining). I personally can't stand the 3-5-2. It's far too negative against teams that don't attack you.
