Fucking hope this isn't true, meanwhile citeh are gonna spend £200m when they already have the best squad in the league by a distance

i wouldnt say that and why would another spending spree make them better necessarily?

i personally would look for some more class in central midfield, but your squad is fine as fuck

we have 2 proper world class players in van dijk and salah. there is a case for robertson, alisson and mane but that's more subjective

citeh have proper world class players in ederson, laporte, fernandinho, de bruyne, sane, aguero. could make a case for sterling and kompany

imagine that citeh got 98 pts with their best player out injured all season, we'd have been on 80 pts without one of our world class players. in addition to having fewer world class players we don't have the depth at LB, RW, LW and ST that citeh have; compare sane and mahrez to origi and shaqiri coming off the bench

yes we have a very good squad that would win the league in most seasons but it's not good enough to win the league at this moment, which is what really matters. it's not like we've spent much money that wasn't generated from selling players (£140m net over the last 4 seasons) and us being in the champions league 3 years in a row with an improved capacity at anfield

generally resting on thy laurels is not the wisest of choices, but that is just my opinion

i think the term "world class" is used way too much and too early nowadays
players like laporte or fernandinho certainly are not

surely you cant rest and hope to surpass city that way, but lets not forget that you have had two much better champions league runs in a row now

pep will eventually wear out his players, i dont think they can keep this up
imo you shouldnt change your approach after playing a 38 game campaign with only 1 defeat

strengthen the squad with smart transfers and you will be just fine

laporte is one of the best CBs in the world so i disagree with you there. fernandinho maybe not, but who is a better CDM really...

i wasn't suggesting an overhaul i just think we ought to spend £10m on LB cover, £30m+ on a winger and £30m+ on a striker. the article said we might not spend over £20m, which is what im taking issue with.

How Liverpool went throughout the season constantly playing the front 3 without any injury is a subject for debate.
One would argue for drugs.
