Decent, not fully fit tho. the overall side wasn't to great yesterday, Wilshere was the best player on our team.

It was obvious Sanchez still needs to find his way in the team and get fully fit after such a hard WC

So who do you guys want as new captain since its seems Vermaelan is all but gone


I say Mertesacker, think he would do a fantastic job

ye good pick experience and solid.
defenders and defensive midfielders make the best captians aswell.

Would have had an easier time adjusting had he joined Liverpool.

Bad, like he always played for barca.

It was not so obvious as the barcelona side was packed with stars that could cover for his lack of skill.

But he`ll be completely exposed in the PL where he will struggle then completely choke.

maybe its time for wilshere to step up to his destiny and become arsenal captain

He will be a great captain for arsenal in the future, but I think it's a bit too early yet. Mertesacker would be a great choice imo, or arteta when he's playing.

i can see merte as a captain but i dont like arteta as captain at all.
