To be fair, united had the worst squad among title contenders at the start of the season ( Chelsea, united and city). On top of that, both arsenal and liverpool have equally good players (arguably better) and are in way better form.

United have a great squad, which is severely underrated.
You don't suddenly go from a title winning team to middle table strugglers.

It has more to do with players form imo, RvP isn't the RvP from last season, Rooney went trough some trouble (altho he's the best player atm at manu), Valencia is still to inconsistant so is Nani..

Manu's main players atm are De Gea and Rooney IMO
