Yes, but they only had the chance to be better because of financial doping.

Not that many big teams anymore in the competition. Atletico Madrid biggest name left.

leipzig is by far the worst plastic club in germany, but to be fair they are not even close to being financially doped like your average premier league club or other entirely foreign owned clubs in european leagues that don't have to adhere to DFL regulations...

Should be the top favourites, since they have the strongest squad and EL is the only thing they are fighting for (well, they could still win La Liga, but losing against Barça I really don't think they have a chance anymore).

Would like to see Sporting win it. Jorge Jesus is a quality manager and I feel kind of pitiful for Sporting after all these years without winning the league (they went from somewhat being close to Benfica's league title record to being surpassed by Porto, having only won 2 leagues in over 30 years) and that underwhelming loss in the 2005 final against CSKA.

We have the same situation as Atletico, but I don't see us beating everyone just yet.

Feel bad for sporting too, so if Arsenal doesn't make it I hope they will.

If we just look at the numbers, the doping may not be on the same level as City, Chelsea or PSG for example, but if we look at it ina proportionate manner... Leipzig was a what, 5th or 6th division team? With zero fanbase whatsoever.

I think it's worse than the other clubs I listed, which despite being disgustingly doped and I despise them for it, at least had a history behind them and were all topflight teams.

e: Leipzig also represents all this business branding bushit thing... it's a club made to advertise Red Bull, not a real football club

Yes you do. EL should be the focus for both teams, and I'd really enjoy an Arsenal-Atlético final. But on paper imo Atlético are the clear favourites.

It is our main focus now for sure, and I agree. Atletico are clear favorites and they would crush us atm.
