I'm not xenophobic. I do not have any reservations against English people and consider them a nice people in general. I still belive though that not a single one of them has an actual clue when it comes to modern football.
English "experts" would be laughed at in public discussions and even by drunks ranting about football in German pubs... and righteously so.

^^

i do like neville and we shouldnt forget he has to deal with terrible, overpriced transfers.....

But the squad is still good enough to do way better. Alcácer, Gayá, Mustafi, Negredo, Andre Gomes, Enzo Pérez, Parejo, Piatti, etc.. they aren't top team players, but they are certainly good enough to form an EL squad at least.

Aren't those players supposed to really good? Or just overhyped?

Define "really good". For me they are good enough to play as starters in a club that plays the EL consistently while having that tiny chance of making it to the CL every now and then. Most of them wouldn't make it into the starting XI of Madrid, Barça, Atletico or Sevilla.

Alcácer is good but too incosistent for a top team.
Gayá is very promising, but he still needs to learn and develop a bit. Good enough for Valencia of course, but he could end up playing in a better club in a few years.
Mustafi and André Gomes were excellent last season. This one not so much, but the whole team has been awful.
Parejo is good, but Valencia is as high as he'll ever go.
Piatti is great, but he's phisically fragile and that affects his consistency.

They are all good enough for Valencia. The problem is that the club has allowed Mendes to bring his garbage into the club (Rodrigo, Abdenour, Aderlan Santos, etc) for shitloads of money, instead of spending those millions in 2 or 3 quality players that could allow them to fight for a CL spot again. Even the decent players that Mendes brought (liek Negredo or Enzo Pérez), were signed with a price tag that they will never ever justify.

He's looking good so far. I think it would be good for all parties if he was loaned again next season.

Poor gary. still 0 wins in spain.
but read that they have actually came back from defeat in the final minutes 5 times already under his charge.
Personally think he's doing ok tho. English lad cant speak spanish but with all these come backs (to draw the game ofc), his players are clearly fighting for him.

any loliga experts here care to give ya 2 cents on how gary and valencia is doing in spain?

Most retarded coach ever. He came to a club like Valencia saying its a training for him.. and talking like he is Pep Guardiola or such and still did literally nothing

Garry Neville will be just another flop as manager as almost all ex Ferguson manure players did.Roy Keane, Ole Gunar Solskjaer, Paul Ince, Teddy Sheringham, Bryan Robson and Steve Bruce. Only Mark Hughes is doing it alright and that's probably because he have played 3 season at Chelsea too.
