This season is a lot different to 2013/14, which was a title challenge built on Suarez's brilliance. While Sturridge was borderline world class at the time and we had other really good players in Gerrard, Sterling and Coutinho; we had an awful defense that was never title worthy. Today's Liverpool team is far more pragmatic, balanced and clinical than the 13/14 team.
Still, let's not pretend that City don't have the best squad in the league. They do, and it's not even close. They have world class players in most positions whereas I'd say our only world class players are Salah and Van Dijk. The title was and still is theirs to lose.
