I read/heard that if a player who is offside makes a run, he is counted as an active player.

had the ref decided to flag him offside after the pass into the box, we could have discussed whether it was an active offside position or not, but the assistant only lifted the flag after firmino's chip was deflected from the woodwork, so that should be evaluated as new situation and therefore not offside...
