Courtois should have done better on that second goal...
On another note if we had someone like drogba today we would have either tied or won with him scoring 2 goals.
Disappointed from costa.
Cesc was amazing tho

to be fair, psg deserved that win. they were the better team, created more chances and were in control of the game for most of the time. a fair result that still leaves chelsea in a good position to proceed...

I agree with u, but he has to cover the angle better, and he got down too slow
E/ who is this Viko guy? The more chelsea fans the merrier

yes, the way he did it was not ideal that's true. however, the point is that staying back is most definitely wrong in these situations...

well that is exactly the point. when a player is through on goal and has no player free player to pass to for an easy tap in, a goalkeeper HAS to commit. he HAS move towards the striker to narrow the angle and put him under pressure, give him less time to think and place his shot...
it would most definitely have been a gk mistake to just stay back, sry...

This.

Seeing how Mikel and Cesc just outright refuse to put any pressure on Di Maria and the back four seem to have collectively fallen asleep, one shouldn't be talking about what Courtois could have done better...

Why cavani doesn't start is beyond me.

because he has been utter shite for like 3 or 4 months now. really, it's crazy how much he missed. tonight he's our hero and we saw on his face that it was a great release for him to score such a goal in that game.
i'm really happy for him, hopefully he'll get better now for the rest of the season

deserved win for us but a cheap result, the second leg will be very tough

yep he has had his moments too in Paris. But really this season he's really bad, he goes on missing free goals and taking bad decisions. Everyone in the squad is pretty mad at him and they most likely won't pass him the ball if they have a choice. Only Blanc keeps pushing him and tonight it paid off. I'm glad for him tonight because he's got so much potential as a striker, but he's also got a shitty strength of mind which causes him to have huge lacks of confidence. Hopefully it's over now and he'll get back to beast mode.

Committing GAVE him the angle. I understand what you're saying and, say, if it was a 1 on 1 straight on, it's always better to commit and come out. But that far to the side, Cavani cannot possibly shoot the ball into the net unless you give him a hole by coming out and lifting one of your legs.

Yet most of Chelsea players had a good game compared to what I've been seeing in the PL these weeks. Hazard did good, your new defense looked pretty ok, only Diego Costa underperformed imo.
