they really wanted to give messi the best copa player award
what a complete joke, he could show up in a wheelchair and be elected
but at least he had the grace to refuse and the award remains vacant ^^

Apart from him scoring a penalty I legit didn't even see him play. I don't understand how you can be soooo good for your club yet so unbelievably bad for your country. Baffling.

he was in submarine mode for 120 minutes in the final

whats even worse is to hear the argentina players talking after the game how they failed again to "give messi a national team title"

how about trying to win as a team for their country

Members of the Argentina star's family were set upon by Chile fans during the first half of the clash between the two sides on Saturday

Members of Argentina star Lionel Messi’s family were attacked by Chile fans during the first half of the Copa America final between the two sides on Saturday evening.

The incident occurred just before half-time when supporters of La Roja began to insult the Barcelona forward's family.

The 28-year-old’s brother Rodrigo was hit by one fan after an angry exchange and the whole family were moved to a television cabin at half-time for their own safety.

The family of striker Sergio Aguero were also insulted by a sector of the Chilean fans.

Messi, meanwhile, was handed some rough treatment by the rival defenders at the Estadio Nacional and was struck in the chest by a violent kick from defender Gary Medel in the first half.

Chileans, still 3rd world. Despicable.

If your star player doesn't turn up it's hardly the teams fault lol. Doesn't make any sense.
