well i'm torn. on the one hand i don't think this loss will be a problem, bayern will still easily qualify and it's not like they had no chance in the match. it might even be healthy and let the coach and players rethink some things and step up their game...

on the other hand i don't think a team like arsenal playing like they did today at home deserves to take anything away from the game... i'd understand if gent or barysaw played like that but for arsenal it's rather pathetic, very chelsea-like...

Ahahaahaa. The way arsenal played was freaking brilliant!
They outsmarted bayern!
Now what do you have to say old man?

he was
typical possession and dangerous arsenal counters

pep needs to order one midfielder further back to cover

Bayern field loads of slow players in the center and they play like they would dominate anyone
Quite obvious tactics to dominate their midfield with fast players + counterattacks

neither thiago nor vidal are particularly slow. not that any pace would allow you to keep up with longballs into counterattacks that completely ignore the midfield.
no, they both put in defensive work (although i have to say vidal looked like sh*t offensively today), xabi was the one losing balls left, right and center...
if wenger predicted that - good stuff. but a tactic so based on luck and hoping you get dominated so hard that your opponent throws all caution to the wind is more than questionable imo.

but well, it worked - good for arsenal. just kind of sad to watch from a football fan's perspective - it's like watching chelsea or serie a, but to each their own i guess. and at the end of the day it's ofc the result that counts...

Imp the biggest issue is pep systems.. He wants the player to rush to the oponent when we lose possession instead of defending properly.. So of course each time the oponent resists to the pressing it becomes dangerous for us.

typical pep game
cant control counters and set pieces
his changes were a complete joke
taking vidal out to have an abysmal lahm in midfield
third one not even used, he did realize that we were 0:1 down?
4-3-3 formation looks like crap not for the first time
no presence in no10 area

pep learned absolutely nothing
zero
defending deep and hitting it is enough

it wasnt exactly bad, but the team was not in a good formation
some players disappointed as well
arsenal did what they could and created good scenes so their approach worked nicely

in the end the hard working team and we had a mediocre game where we didnt use the chances

it was a draw until that shit goal

well tbh no team except barca can match bayern in open battle so what should they do?
playing like they normally do and bayern wins 8:0

vidal was quite alright and thiago had a bright game too

We? As in Hamburg?
Also not everyone plays open football. Looks like bayern needs to switch something up ;)
