kicker is writing about it, too - so i guess it's pretty much a done deal. awesome football player imo: incredible vision, composure and passing but also very skillful, good dribbling and rather quick / dynamic for a central midfielder too...

that being said, fuck him! after he was out for almost one and a half seasons, he could and should have signed a new long term contract with a proper buyout clause at least. now dortmund has to sell him for € 37 m to one of the oil clubs which is a joke considering how good and important he is for them - and also considering what is paid for similar or worse players these days...

calm down dear, you've got Sahin

sahin is past it. ever since he left dortmund for madrid, he hasn't been himself anymore. same with kagawa when he returned from united.
very decent players ofc who i would love to see play for my club (in terms of skill, not in terms of wages ofc) - but to have a competitive cl team, gündogan / weigl / mikhitaryan were the central midfielders for dortmund's future...

No idea why you guys are so salty about it, it could have been much worse and he could have left on a free, it's not like he hasn't helped Dortmund in the time that he's been there....

This whole "stuck with him" bullshit is dumb every club in the world bar Real Madrid would have done that for him

well, in the worst case gündogan could have found himself unable to play with his serious back injury and without a contract....

i get your point, its business, but some people including myself would appreciate more honesty thats all

Tbh I always thought Gündogan would be the successor to Iniesta at Barcelona... was hoping he'd sign another one-year extension until Iniesta is eventually ready to free his spot in the Barcelona squad.

Now what I hope for Dortmund is that they get a decent amount of money for Gündogan and try to replace him with Dahoud from Gladbach (assuming Xhaka won't leave this summer as well)...

Weigl + Dahoud = great CM for years to come.

and I totally get that, but fender going off about how unfair to Dortmund this is, it's not like we're getting him on a free. He didn't have to sign an extension, even though he's been better there's no way of knowing that shit won't pop back up.

Probably the single coolest thing Navas has done in a City shirt.
