I know we can all agree this season was really Disappointing to say the least, there are several things that need to change for next season, especially when it comes to players.
We have several players this season that have provided nothing at all or basically their time has ended and I believe Barcelona should find a replacement for them:
โ Sergi Roberto: While he is able to play in different positions, in my opinion he has overextended his stay at Barcelona, YES we need a Right Back BUT he is not a Starting Player for me at all at this moment.
โ Oriol Romeu: I'm not sure why Xavi decided he was a good fit for Barcelona, he lacks mobility and is way too slow to even compete with top tier midfielders at the moment, even while being fit, he was still
not the first choice, so why have him at all?
โ Marcos Alonso: While he has experience, he is NOT a starting player at all for me, perhaps when he was on his prime but at his age he is no longer a player that can compete in Champions League (Kounde has been playing in that position this season.
โ Iรฑigo Martinez: He was a great player when he was at Bilbao but so far this season we have only seen him play in very few matches and his performance has not been top tier at all, we also have other defenders that can play in his position like Cubarsi, Araujo, Christensen, Kounde and even Eric Garcia (Currently on Loan to Girona).
โ Ferran Torres: I'm not sure why we still have him in our team, he performs well in 1 game but disappears in the next 7 games, he has had many chances at Barcelona but he keeps missing the chances, literally scores 2/10 which is not a good thing.
Next Season:
โ Robert Lewandowski: I know Barcelona plan to keep him next season which in my Opinion is a bad idea, he will be 36 in August and while he was one of Europe's TOP Striker, I believe it's time for him to move on, We need someone much younger who can outrun defenders or catch them off guard and Lewandowski is not as fast as he was 10 years ago.
โ Joao Felix: I believe he needs to back to Atletico Madrid, he did not show anything outstanding while playing for Barcelona and has disappeared in many games while given the opportunity to be in the starting squad, Atletico Madrid will not be selling him for cheap and paying 80 Millions Euros for him would be a mistake.
โ Ronald Araujo: The Barcelona committee may have plans to sell him and in the past week there have been many rumors of teams like Chelsea, Man United and perhaps Liverpool wanting to buy him. I don't think they should sell him at all, it would be a HUGE mistake in their part, YES we have 5 Center Backs but NONE are as experienced as him, we will not find another CB like him in the current market.
โ Frankie De Jong: In my opinion he is in great form at the moment BUT there are financial problems with his contract and the Barcelona committee has been trying to sell him for the past 2 transfer windows due to his contract and the amount of money he earns weekly which is about โฌ721K per week.... He makes TWICE what Erling Haaland Makes which is about 375K per week. It is a problem for the club but Frankie does not want to leave and has refused a downgrade payment on his salary twice already. I do not blame him, that was the contract that was given to him while Josep Bartomeu was the President of Barcelona and we all know how horrible it went as far as contracts.
โ Raphina: The club has basically put him on the market as well alongside Araujo to try and bring some money to the club and I think that if the right offers comes, it wouldn't be such a bad idea to sell him.
