But seriously, yes, it has apparently worked better than the previous times. From what I've heard though (didn't watch ofc since it was a friendly), the time spent is still a bit too high. Well, at least even people who want this technology implemented complained about it (I mean they still want it no matter what, but they admit that the time the game is stopped is an issue). At least this time they didn't backtrack the decision after the game went on.
Still, my main issue with this is penalties. Luckily this time the ref didn't ask for video assistance when he called penalty on Deulofeu. If he did then it could have caused a shitstorm because it was a pretty soft one, and even after watching the replays some refs would give it and some would not. This is why I think technology should only be used for situations that are always objective (such as goal line, sideline and offside matters).
oops
i am wondering why you bring up the time issue though, the german ref stated after the game that canceling the griezmann goal took his video assistent not even 20 seconds, while everyone was still celebrating
and the players accepted the decision immediately
i dont think i need to tell a regular la liga watcher how much time the standard referee swarming consumes until the game can continue

and about soft penalty calls
make it like in american football, where the video guys need to be sure that the referee made a mistake
if not the call of the ref stands
