Well I just saw the highlights+analysis (didn't watch the game), and apparently Athletic started of with half of their starters in the bench (including Aduriz). The game was more or less balanced until Valverde decided to sub in the starters; then it became a walkover for Athletic.

I'm not xenophobic. I do not have any reservations against English people and consider them a nice people in general. I still belive though that not a single one of them has an actual clue when it comes to modern football.
English "experts" would be laughed at in public discussions and even by drunks ranting about football in German pubs... and righteously so.
