özil is a very intelligent player, he already knows where to pass before he has got the ball. he is 0% selfish and 100% teamplayer, thats why the fans love him, doesnt matter which club he played for, schalke, bremen, madrid...

i followed özils way from schalke u19 til madrid. dont really understand why madrid sells him. i think bale and ronaldo are both a bit selfish, not sure if they will harmonize without some teamplayers like özil.

so gratz arsenal, you will have a good time with him.

btw schalke will bring up two more players with similar skills, Julian Draxler and Max Meyer, you should check them out.

we were linked with draxler aswell he looks like a quality player apparently schalke wanted 60m for him :o

Just because he can play that role doesnt make it his position.

Kagawa Kaka Ozil Cazorla Hazard Mata - these are attacking midfielders you wouldnt put iniesta in this role if you had these in your team

yet you wouldnt put any of them in CM instead of iniesta.
You're mistaking Iniesta with Xavi, son.

 is this correct?

Oh i see CM and AM are the same position? i didnt know... :bonk:

probabaly, but they are misleading

With Isco not being there until this year, Madrid had:

Modric only came last season and he barely played due to injuries until he scored that goal in Old Trafford.
Di María and Xabi Alonso struggling with injuries all of last season.
Kaká... well...

So basicly, he was the only one in the team that could give assists. Meanwhile Barça plays with a team full of players that just pass the ball until one of them (anyone) gives the decisive pass.
Iniesta is more of a space maker and ofen gives the second to last pass (forward pass towards someone and then the ball is crossed to Messi so he can score; it's a very typical Barça move).
Not to mention that Özil shines against teams like Levante, Celta, Rayo, Zurich, Dinamo Zagreb; etc. He can gives 2-3 assists whenever he plays against those teams, but then he's rarely there when it's a big game.

I mean, don't get me wrong, he's a great player. But he's not a player that can carry a team to a trophy like Iniesta.

Finish with 10 more points in the EPL, probably. Go beyond quarter finals in the CL, I doubt it.

Overall he will be a good signing imo, but I don't think he will carry the team to a title.

xavi is far from peak these days, him on the pitch makes barcelona quite vulnerable

I'd obviously pick özil over xavi
