Benteke was 21 when he got signed by Villa... He has a ratio of almost 1:2 while Caroll is 1:3.

Also not even sure why I'm still replying to your posts, you clearly try and bait everyone out causing much drama on here, something I'm trying to avoid :)

So from now own there is not much point replying to me, probs wont answer since you take things way too personal

bait? drama? not at all... what's the point about bentekes age when he came to villa? how old was carroll when he signed for newcastle? this is about the liverpool not the lower tier club transfer and i just made a fair point how both of them performed before they signed for liverpool which is the whole point.

also why completely dodge on the valdes topic? can't you just stay on topic without making such drama? you act like giving some context to your misleading statistics and disagreeing with you is some kind of "personal attack" while i'm really just trying to discuss football here...

ok now, suarez "good"? he was / is outstanding - why do you even mention him? ok, torres was arguably better than sterling in his last liverpool season, i would agree if that was your point... now if that makes sterling "not good" i don't know but that's not what this was ever about and you know it...

and your 49 vs 33 goals argument is also somewhat misleading: benteke scored 49 with 13 assists in all competitions in > 100 games and he's 24 now while carroll scored 33 with 21 assists in 90 games and he was only 22 when they signed him...

again, i'm not hating on benteke or liverpool here, it could work out for them but you know as well as me that this is a huge overprice and it could certainly backfire again...

btw, i'm really interested in your source about the valdes issue in the united thread if you don't mind...

Suarez and Torres are not even comparable to Sterling so whatever comparison made between them is not applicable. That doesn't mean Sterling is bad, he's a pretty good player with a lot of potential.

The comparison between Benteke and Carroll I can definitely see. Whilst I do think that Benteke > Carroll overall and in terms of Liverpool's style of play, it is still overpriced and a big risk. Hopefully it all works out...

He's not a bigger risk than Balotelli for example, you really are safe with getting Benteke.

i give you that suarez (no question) and torres at liverpool > sterling. but i already said that to mill in the post you quoted. and sterling isn't a pure striker either, which i also admitted. that was, however, never the point. the point is that they got a huge amount of money for a good player and bought an at that point decent striker from a lower level team for a ridiculous sum.

again, i hope that benteke will prove to be better than carroll and i'm in no way even suggesting he couldn't be. i just think it's not fair to say for sure he will because at this point he hasn't done better than carroll had when he joined so as we both agree the risk is there...

i really don't know what's so hard to understand, let alone why it's considered "drama" , "personal attack" or "forum war"...

Who would you have bought that you consider better and also would've entertained coming to us, and not for 250k/week?

Well I think you make interesting points but also can definitely come across as quite dismal and bleak in some posts. I don't know if that is your intention or if you are aware of it, it could just be a misinterpretation on our part or something lost in translation.

Van Pussy and Aguero have had big injury problems aswell but that is certainly an encouraging statistic
