not a pen at women football either. if you think that contact is enough to verify a pen, good lord at the amount of penalties called in the future. this was way more dive than pen tbh

He did push him in the back, however, not to a degree where its a penalty - but with the opponent diving its very hard to judge for the referee - and therefore it was a bad mistake of lovren, he should know this.

If you move into the defender and then fall over im sorry it is 100% not a penalty. What is lovren supposed to do turn invisible so he doesn't touch him? 2 games in a row with absolutely shocking pens against us. One at Brighton was just as bad. If you aren't 100% sure you cannot give a penalty, it is the biggest game changing call there is. Absolute robbery

Yes thats what im saying, it should not be a penalty, but its super hard to see for the referee if he push him in the back ( which he did, softly ) and he dives.
And if you know about football you should know that referees make decisions every match that they shouldnt have.

This is why they need to start watching replays for harder decisions, but they dont.

might as well rewatch it. contact was mainly initiated by Calvert-Lewin. he did change direction to bump into Lovren on purpose. that was basically out of James Harden flopping playbook lol

In the end, the penalty decision shouldn't have mattered at all. Liverpool had enough chances to have that game completely buried by half time.
