you've always hated him and taken any chance to discredit him...
This is wrong, I simply lost my patience with him. He didn't progress at all while at Madrid; he came as a good player and left while being at the same level. I consider him to be a good player, but lacks consistency and invisible in big games. This doesn't mean I hate him or I would never want him in my team (I just wouldn't want use him in big games).

and plz don't try to make it sound like they sold özil because of his bad attitude, while di maria stepped up, that's perez propaganda, just like the woman and party bs, don't be so naive. di maria stepped up AFTER özil was sold. but how does that prove it was a good choice to sell özil?
Di María kept asking publicly for a chance during the summer, saying that he wanted to stay and work hard for a spot in the XI, even when everyone thought that him going was a certain thing. Obviously we only saw him step up after Özil was sold because only 2 official game were played before the transfer was made... Ancellotti said that he had worked very hard during preseason, and considering the player's public requests to stay and his performance this season, it's most likely true.
And I didn't say chosing Di María over Özil was the right choice, I'm saying keeping Di María has turned out to not be a bad choice. Maybe if Özil had stayed he would be doing well, idk, but it's obvious that Di María has been performing very well this season and that no one in the club regrets chosing the argentinian.

first of all, di maria only shines against small opponents - the very thing you criticized özil for. i listed the number of goals and assists özil had against the big teams last time we had this discussion. what has di maria done in those games against barcelona and atletico for example? exactly, nothing!
Don't get me wrong, I'm not a fan of Di María either, but I like the attitude he has shown and he's performing consistently for once. Like Özil, he has given some assists against big opponents though. He gave the one that allowed Cristiano to score against Barça and win the Copa during extra time, for example.

same with isco, the man you thought was better than özil anyway, the man who, lets not forget about that, cost € 30 mio.
Isco has played very well this season, actually. The problem is he can't play in Carlo's 4-3-3, which is why he has been benched ever since the 4-2-2 formation was changed. Ancellotti admits he's being unfair with Isco, because his performances have been good, but he doesn't have room for a CAM right now.

and let's not even begin with illarramendi... so you judge özil by criteria you don't apply to the players you think have proven it was a good decision to sell özil... haters gonna hate i guess...
Are you seriously comparing Illarra to Özil? They are very different players, which play in different positions... with completely different experience aswell, since Illarra has only just reached top level football and doesn't even play for the national team yet.

sure, özil is not a perfect player but i think if you let him do his stuff and put some decent players on the pitch around him who are capable of converting his assists he will continue to prove himself as irreplacable and extremely valuable...
Sure, as long as the game isn't a semifinal or a final.
