Not a fan of loan deals myself, Smalling was one of the better defenders in Serie A last season and we still can't get rid, now Dalot's been loaned out to Milan which leaves us with no cover for RB other than Williams.

I think Arteta just wants him gone from the other players and the training complex or he wants him to play but not for us.

Well when Arteta came in he was pretty clear, either follow my rules and methods or you're out. And after the Brighton game when Guendouzi strangled Maupay and refused to apologize Arteta didn't back down.

I respect him for doing that, before we had Emery who said the same but then included Özil every now and then while there were clear issues.
