Well, apparently his signing was Simeone's personal request to the board.

Even if he's unproven outside of Mexico, you can't say 10.5M€ is crazy by today's standards.

I've been saying it for 2 years. He will be a beast in Europe and Atlético Madrid is the perfect club for him to fit in too. Under El Cholo Simone, Raúl should be a top striker!
