because that's what he said. that's why he specifically used the singular: fan instead of fans and stressed the difference. that's why he pointed out the red circle with only one guy in it.
if he just wanted to say that the problem is generally smaller in england he should have noticed that i already acknowledged that in this thread before.

so how did you take it? what do you think was his message?

There are alot more cases in russia etc than in england, germany or any other big euro country tho..

^^ that

I mean I live in the states, so I can't really judge racism in Europe, but from what I read/see it seems things like that happen in Russia and Italy the most

My point was there was only one racist idiot in the crowd, not one racist idiot in the whole country.

Obviously when I said "How big would the red circle be in a picture of the racist russian crowd?", I was comparing the english crowd from your picture with the russian crowd in CSKA's stadium. Not saying there aren't any other racists in England, that would absurd, just like it would be to say there aren't any racist russian fans outside CSKA's stadium.

Russia and Italy are pretty much the ones I keep hearing about too. The last rascism case that happend here in belgium was almost 3 years ago (japanese goalkeeper Kawashima was called Fukushima) and the fans had to apoligize and got a massive ban for it.

only one racist in the crowd? just because there's only one red circle? are you sure about that? who knows what his buddy next to him did just seconds before or after? maybe a little monkey chant? just because you only see one in this picture doesn't say he was the only idiot in the stadium. actually i think it's pretty naive to believe that...

Happens in many countries to the east of Germany (by many I don't mean all or most). However since the leagues are mostly irrelevant, the incidents don't make it to the news.

Well he's the only one we know did it. It wouldn't be right to accuse others for doing something when we have no proof at all.

over the past 2 years alone, russia has been taking a huge step backwards when it comes to racism...

Only belgian players alone received 5+ rascists cases in russia.. also don't forget what happen to Roberto Carlos aswell.

well... only one we know of - only one in the stadium. see the difference?
but seriously, i think we all agree that each incident is a disgrace - no matter where it happens. and again, i'm aware of the fact that it's worse in russia than in england for example.

you wot m8? why are you always generalizing? i told you exactly WHY i took it like i did. and i think it was a coherent argument. if you can't follow why don't you just ignore it instead of making random accusations? i was just surprised people were trying to be smartasses about a fact i already acknowledged, that's all...
