It is partially true. Pereyra (despite my doubts) had a very, very impressive start. Vidal was coming after injury, its only normal it takes time to get back up in form again.

However the second half of the season he came in strong and pereyra somewhat dropped form, the reason he ended up on bench.

Overall i think vidal leaving will be a hard blow and any team that has him in it can only get better. For bayern it would be ideal.

People are saying it's overpriced and he's overrated.. I think he is the best option currently that would actually come to us after no CL and the horrible season we just had. His goal scoring ratio really is pretty good as well, especially since it was at Villa.

I'll wait to see how he does, as it is quite a high price, but I'm glad we got him over our alternatives.. Lacazette wasn't ever going to come to us, unless we paid him obscene wages and that's not FSG's style...

He's not worth the price no, but he will be a great buy for Liverpool. They need someone to put in the goals on a consistant basis.
