Greece winning the Euro was solid defending. Chelsea winning the CL was ridiculous luck; you don't defend well when you concede so many chances.

Lucky wins like those are part of the beauty of football though... but still, claiming it was proper defending is pure delusion

I`ll explain you that as long as you explain me the follows:

-semifinal lost against Liverpool after the phantom goal
-semifinal lost to Liverpool on penalties
-final lost against manure on penalties
-the barca ovrebro saga when Steve Wonder could've been called a sniper compared to Ovrebro.

And that's just on prima vista as there are quiet few more occasions when we were robbed by the gods of football So you have to atleast admit it that beating germans on penalties in their backyard is quiet an amazing achievement.

No one is saying it wasn't an amazing achievement, I think everyone is just calling that child delusional as he's basically claiming it was pure skill and defending when it wasn't.

You can't say us winning the CL was based on luck lol. U don't win so many matches off of luck, I'm sorry to say.

it's just sad when people feel like they have to overcompensate and go full retard to prove what great "fans" they are. guys like you and marcin live in complete denial when it comes to "your" team and players - that doesn't make you "good" fans but rather the fans, reasonable supporters are ashamed of - especially since you are the "loudest" ones...
everybody in the football world knows that chelski got incredibly lucky that year - not only in that final vs. bayern but also in the semis vs. barcelona.
but hey, football is cruel like that sometimes - and although it obviously sucks to be on the losing end of it, everybody basically accepts it. that does, however, not mean that you can't acknowledge when you were lucky and in this case, if you played that game 10 times instead of once, i'm sure bayern would have won the title... i mean seriously, could you really know so little about the sport, could you really be that blind to actually not see that? or do you just think denying it somehow makes it less true?

I was even rooting for Chelsea that day, since I really don't like Bayern (or most of Bayern supporters I personally know).

Nevertheless, that (as well as all the historical losses you could ever think of) doesn't change the fact that you didn't have a solid defense. Not today, not during the first game in Paris and for sure not during the 11/12 season when you won UCL.
You won UCL DESPITE your crappy defending, DESPITE not being able to make any use of possession and DESPITE the tons of chances you allowed against Bayern, Barcelona and - at times - even agains Benfica.
You won it against all odds. What you certainly didn't win it by was skill, quality (i.e. solid) defending or quality football though. Is it that hard to realize and admit that? It was a fluke.



You won a total of 7 matches on regular time in all of UCL 2011/12.

Real Madrid won 10.
Barcelona won 8.
Bayern won 8.

You conceded a total of 12 goals during that UCL season.

Real Madrid conceded 9.
Barcelona conceded 10.
Bayern conceded 11.

Joke's still on you since you can't ffs find an argument to support your thesis of a solid defense or your team actually playing good.
Nobody will ever take the victory away from Chelsea (or you) and nobody even wants to do that. It would still be a sign of intelligence or proper understanding of football on your side to at least acknowledge that it was mostly based on luck.

Real Madrid won the champions league on 1997 and 2014 based only on luck.

Playing horrible, losing the league very early... scoring on offside (Mijatovic) and out of time (Ramos).
