This is a style that Chelsea plays, and they have always played this style. It won them the CL when they killed bayern, they outplayed (in chances) vs barca in 08 semi finals...
This is how Chelsea plays, and if they don't score their chances AND mess up at the back they will lose.

You just described every loss in the history of football.

My main point was telling anus that Chelsea have always played this style and with the right team it will work.
in the next year there will be quite a few changes imo, and we have 1 year to get back to how good we were from 2005-12. In the past 10 years we have not done as bad as this season.
Lol mou left us in a bit of a hole that we gotta dig out of

You almost understood.

Right, it's their style of play.

BUT:

They don't need to actually mess up in defense to lose. It's just the opposing team that needs to do better than Bayern did in UCL final, just like PSG did twice in a row.
The odds will ALWAYS favor the opposing team, as long as Chelsea don't learn to peoperly defend much further away from their own goal or put pressure on opposing players.

The whole concept of Chelsea's style is based on the HOPE not to concede, which is very closely linked to nothing more than pure luck. Kind of sad for a club anually spending tons and tons of money.

when you look at it tho back then in 08 and 2012 we were much more solid at the back, and were doing much better in the league when we are this year.
We didn't lose to psg because of the style we played, but because our defense isn't as solid as it should be.

I'm not too mad, because this season has been in shambles from the start. rebuild next year with hopefully the right manager and then in 2017 we are back in it.

chelsea11 you need to be more objective bud. We all like supporting our teams but it's a little ridiculous saying every Chelski player is world class and you deserve to win every game. Come on bud.

Let's take the UCL final vs. Bayern, because you like to bring it up a lot^^
Your defense was everything BUT solid... unless ofc you have an entirely different understanding of that word.

"Solid" would have meant they wouldn't have allowed more than 2-3 scoring opportunities for Bayern by either keeping them out of their box or at least forcing them to rely on an unfamiliar style (like many crosses with Chelsea's players being better in the air or long shots with their players blocking them).

What "solid" definitely doesn't mean is allowing the opponents to create 7-8 great chances to score from inside the box and only HOPING for Cech to save them or that there will be some defender far back enough to block the shots on their own goal line if possible.

This is not - and has never been - a concept that relies on solid defending... it instead relies on luck and the opponent's inability to score from even their best opportunities to a much greater extent.

I hate Bayern and probably no German could have been happier than me the night your team won UCL in their stadium. BUT to say this had anything to do with the quality of your/their squad or with your solid defense (which in fact didn't exist) is ignorant at best.

I didn't say everything was great? I even said psg was the better team, BUT we could have won the game. In the 55th minute we had it in our hands.

So Bayern didn't score because they were unlucky in all of their chances? and barca didn't score because they were unlucky with all of their chances?
Sorry but you are wrong, it was because of the def+cech.
Courtois is an amazing keeper, but his communication/positioning needs to get better imo.

Robben missed as well B)

Who we are really missing is Lampard-drogba.
Lamps-drogba-terry-cech were the main keys to our side. Now that they are almost all gone except terry we must rebuild.
Ivanovic was also a big part
