well deserved win for PSG, looks like they are made out of stronger plastic

I agree at some points but still it wasnt that clear advantage for PSG.



This happens when Motta already have a yellow card, both players have their feet too high and i dont know why only Fabregas has yellow. Matuidi had atleast 2 yellow card situations in the first half, none of them was a shown yellow card. The clear fault just outside the penalty line on Willian and we all know that those kind of set pieces are like penalties for him. Otherwise yes except those things PSG outplayed us and deservedly continue but i honestly can't see them beating Barca, Bayern or even Real Madrid, probably a solid 1/2 finalist if they get Benfica/Wolfsburg in the 1/4 finals

Chelsea couldn't put actual pressure on any decent team even if their lives depended on it. A fooling around PSG squad was "enough" to force them to rely solely on defending around their own box with like 8-9 players for most of the time.
Like the sitaution right before the first goal for PSG, when they were not capable of (or not even wanting to?) putting any pressure on Di Maria, who had the ball only like 30 metres away from their goal or in the same situation putting pressure on Zlatan prior to his assist.
They were - as always - just backtracking to their box or standing around watching what Di Maria would do from a safe distance.

Just accept it:

Chelsea was never able to do anything but wait for an inadequacy in PSG's funny little passing game to try and counter-attack. If Paris had just waited around their own box and left the ball to your team (which they could have done, starting right after their first goal), you would have most likely had to watch embarassing 80+ minutes of Chelsea players looking useless on the pitch. They cannot properly build up or create chances against even semi-decent teams. They cannot defend (i.e. pressure the opposing team) properly, except for waiting deep around their own box and hoping to survive the attacks without conceding.

Whenever they're facing a decent team, all they can ever do is hope for a chance to counter. That's about it.

This is a style that Chelsea plays, and they have always played this style. It won them the CL when they killed bayern, they outplayed (in chances) vs barca in 08 semi finals...
This is how Chelsea plays, and if they don't score their chances AND mess up at the back they will lose.
