Celtic are way worse than they were back then, and yet still they smash the league undefeated with like a 30+ point lead... all the teams have stepped down even more and the whole competition has crumbled

It's sad to see clubs like Rangers and Celtic struggle like this, but at the rate things are going the SPL will be almost on the same level as the WPL ina few years. Personally I'd like to see a UK prem... it's the only way out for these clubs.

Nah they will be on the rise. Not sure how Rangers lost.. But teams like Hearts/Aberdeen are doing a decent job. And Celtic have/look the best in the past few years... they were really quite poor before.

Hopefully Celtic/Aberdeen do well in EU and carry the Scottish League rankings. It's still a top 10 league in eu, doesn't say too much but yeah..

No way, Cletic were way better in the days of Nakamura, Larsson, etc. They'd always fight to make it out of the CL group stage and they reached an EL final a couple of years before that. Even in more recent times with Samaras, Ki, etc they were almost always in the CL. They've been declining ever since Rangers went bankrupt in 2012, with the only exception of last season. The over all trend is awful though.

And I'd say there's no way the SPL is a top 10 league. Top 20 at best, and that's being generous. they've plummeted to the 26th place in the coefficient for a reason.

you can't always look at the coefficients, and honestly I'd say they are around 13-15. And that is what I meant, Celtic look better now then between 2013ish-2016.

Imo the leagues/countries ahead of scotland are:

England, Spain, Germany, Italy, France, Russia, Portugal, Ukraine, Turkey, Belgium, and the dutch. The rest are even or worse... I mean Czech is rated 11 in coefficients, and although it isn't bad it really isn't better than Scotland.
