Rooney fears the cold shoulder
There are reports on Tuesday morning that Wayne Rooney is worried about being isolated by his team-mates at Manchester United.
Several back pages in the morning papers claim that Rooney is facing a dressing-room revolt over his alleged desire to seek a move away from Old Trafford.
The club has rejected a second bid from Chelsea for the player, this time in the region of £30m.
Rooney has not travelled to Sweden for a friendly with the club saying he injured his shoulder in a behind closed doors game over the weekend.
"Wayne hurt his shoulder in a fall during a match on Saturday," United boss David Moyes told the club's website. "It's not too serious and I don't expect it to keep him out for too long.
"I'm disappointed he's missing the game because we were keen to get him back involved and ready to play."
Rooney, with two years left on his current deal, is reportedly ready to try and force through a move by handing in a written transfer request but United have reiterated their hardline stance.
"A bid was received yesterday (Sunday) and immediately rejected," a United spokesman said. "Our position remains that he is not for sale."
Nemanja Vidic will skipper the United side in Sweden after missing the first leg of the tour due to a sciatica problem, while Portuguese winger Bebe, signed for £7.4m in 2010 but yet to start a game in the Premier League, is also in the squad.
