UNITED MAKE NEW CESC BID
Still, we need to keep up our saga quota, so here's something about Cesc Fabregas.
David De Gea is quoted by The Daily Express, via Marca, as saying: "He will have to make the decision as to whether he wants to stay (at Barcelona) or join us. It would be a very good signing and he would help us to improve greatly."
Meanwhile, The Daily Mirror says United are set to make one final offer for Cesc, trying to force through a move for around £35million, plus add-ons.
However: 'Barcelona have indicated they will be forced to turn down any offer from the English club, because of the fiendishly complicated clauses agreed when they bought the player from Arsenal in 2011.
'Instead, the Spanish giants are considering allowing Fabregas to buy out his own contract for a set fee - which would circumvent an agreement made with the Gunners that gives them the option to re-sign the player for £25m should Barca agree to sell him to any other club.
'That buy-out figure though, is likely to be set at £48m, which leaves United a long way short of what the club has indicated will be their final offer for the former Arsenal man.'
