well, congratulations united. quite mature performance defensively. and while i still think that it's somewhat disappointing display for such an expensive team, in the end it's only the result that counts.

I don't understand why it was a "pathetic" victory. We played solid defensively and shut down their attack. We also had more shots on target and created more chances. We let them have possession of the ball and they didn't do anything with it. Now if we had played with 11 behind the ball the whole game and had a center back score from a corner kick or something, yeah you could call it ugly

I think the one you are thinking of is actually a Chelsea player ;)

Yes, that was your game plan that was executed perfectly like fender said, but the fact that a team like Manchester United has to play that way to get results against this Ajax team is pathetic, you played how Sunderland would play against Chelsea and hope for a result.
