So what should be 5th then? I've got three candidates that could probably take it by the end of the season, but Dortmund needs to vastly improve domestically and City needs to vastly improve in Europe and Atletico needs to get closer to last years performance

Dominates Serie A year after year but instantly chokes once they meet decent European competition.. Lost to Atletico, barely won vs Oly, currently third in a group that is by no means difficult to proceed in. Fair chance that they'll be out in the group stages like last year. Not top 5 worthy for me.

Real Madrid
Bayern Munchen
Barcelona
Chelsea
Manchester City
Atletico Madrid
Possibly Juventus however they cant produce their game in the CL

First place in CL and 1 point after real madrid.. even beating madrid away.. considering how many changes they were needed to do i'd say they have been pretty good

Actually, upon further consideration Atletico might just be number 5 from me. I thought they were fifth in la liga, there's only two points seperating first and fifth place in la liga atm anyways (dat competitiveness)

Third place, 1 point behind Real Madrid, and leading their group with 9 points, not bad at all. I can see them ending 2nd or third in la liga and quarter finals of UCL (with my magic 8 ball of course)
